A lot goes on around a contest site during the build up to one of the world tour stops. Usually the pro’s come into town early to warm up on the waves they’ll be competing in. However, Margaret River is one of those stops where the pro’s like to spend some time before and after the contest window to soak in as much as possible from the south west region of Western Australia. From the diversity of waves on offer to the beautiful vineyards, restaurants and scenery there a lot of options for when the surfs firing to the lay days.
